Third-country pathways are limited and governed by the responsible institutions. Registration, recognition, need, contribution, or time waiting does not create a purchasable place in a resettlement queue.
Different pathways, different decision-makers

Fraud warning signs
- A guaranteed country, interview, departure date, visa, or approval in exchange for money.
- A claim that a contribution to Operation Siam, DCHO, UNHCR, or another organization will improve an individual case.
- A demand to hide the payment, use a personal account, recruit other applicants, or surrender original documents.
- A logo, badge, or official-sounding title that cannot be verified through the institution’s own channel.
A responsible practical approach
- Use official information for the pathway and destination country.
- Confirm who makes the decision and whether an application can actually be initiated by the person.
- Seek qualified advice for eligibility, evidence, family relationships, deadlines, and immigration consequences.
- Keep copies and receipts; do not send originals or sensitive records until the receiving channel is verified.
- Report suspicious solicitation without circulating the affected person’s case publicly.
